Help Save Betty White from 2016

A man from 2016 creates a GoFundMe Page to protect Betty White from 2016 deaths.

Sadly enough, we keep adding to our list of 2016 deaths. Every day we our hearts drop when we see a celebrity’s name trending. Due to the many celebrity deaths in 2016, we are not prepared to see another one go down. South Carolinian, Demetrios Hrysikos started a GoFundMe page entitled Help Protect Betty White from 2016, to . . . well, help protect Betty White from 2016. The 94-year-old Golden Girl is still standing strong, and he wants to make sure it stays that way for the rest of 2016.

Because of the many deaths, people fear for White's life. Some people took to twitter and made it clear to 2016 not to mess with her. Some people said things like “2016, Don’t touch her! DON’T YOU EVER TOUCH HER! DON’T YOU TOUCH BETTY WHITE!” and “We need a strategy to protect Betty White from the remainder of 2016.” 2016 does not stand a chance against White and her internet guardians.

Hrysikos threatens 2016 by saying “Help 2016 catch these hands if it goes anywhere near Betty White!” There have been many 2016 celebrity deaths including Prince, Alan Thicke, David Bowe, Ricky Harris, Carrie Fisher, and more. Hrysikos explains that after the recent death of Carrie Fisher, he wanted to make everyone smile.

The internet has virtually killed White several times, but Hrysikos is making sure he fulfills his civic duty by protecting White. In the description, he says “If she's okay with it I will fly to where ever Betty White is and keep her safe till Jan 1, 2017.”

The goal of the GoFundMe, which started on Tuesday, is $2,000 but in just one day, Hrysikos has raised over a thousand dollars more, earning $3,143. We are not sure if White has agreed to having a body guard for a couple of days, but just in case she declines the offer, Hrysikos gives fans another reason to donate. Htysikos explains that “all monies will be donated to the Spartanburg little theater to help craft new stars of stage and screen to carry mantle of the legends that have left is this year.”
