I wonder if anyone has any thoughts on what makes an effective parent? I am fiddling about with an idea and would appreciate hearing your comments.

Hi GrannyP. I believe parents of today need to take the time to talk with their children... we all get caught up in our day to day workload...But it is very important to sit and talk to the children...I mean without tv going...without them having their headset on...good Quality time...Works a treat if you're interested in what they do and say...Not sure if this falls in to what you need...but I just had to put my 5c worth in...Have a wonderful week

Hi Gran, I have 4 kids and I'd still like to know!... seriously I would say .. consistancy ... Consistancy between you and the children and between you and your other half. Hope that helps
